Getting Your API Keys
How to get an ElevenLabs API key
Add ElevenLabs voices — strong in Hindi, Tamil and other Indian languages — and clone your own voice from half a minute of audio.
What an ElevenLabs key powers in Landio
ElevenLabs voices appear alongside the built-in ones in every voice picker — talking-avatar videos, influencer voices and templates. Its multilingual model reads Indian languages and Hindi-English scripts noticeably more naturally.
It also powers voice cloning in Clone Studio: record around 30 seconds or more of clean speech and your clone speaks any script in your voice.
Creating the key
Keys are created from your ElevenLabs account settings.
Sign in at elevenlabs.io (voice cloning needs a paid plan).
Open your profile menu and choose API Keys.
Create a key. If you restrict its permissions, allow text to speech and voices (read and write) — cloning needs voice write access.
Copy the key; it's shown once.
Adding the key to Landio
Open AI Providers from the sidebar, find ElevenLabs in the vendor list, paste the key, and save. Its voices then show up in voice pickers, and Clone Studio can make voice clones.
Keys are encrypted at rest and write-only — after saving, the page only tells you that a key exists, never what it is, so keep the copy you saved at the vendor.
There's no included allowance for ElevenLabs: everything it makes is billed by ElevenLabs to your account at their rates. Check their pricing page for what a minute of output costs before running it at volume.
Before you clone a voice
Record in a quiet room on one device, reading prepared text in the voice you want the videos to have. More samples in the languages you'll use get closer to your real voice.
Only clone a voice or face you have the right to use — your own, or someone who has given you written permission for this exact use. Keep that permission on file. Cloning someone without consent can break the vendor's terms and the law where you or they live.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my clone say it needs verification?
ElevenLabs sometimes asks the account owner to verify a cloned voice before it can be used. Finish that in your ElevenLabs account, then the clone works here.
Is it safe to paste an API key into a third-party app?
Keys are encrypted before storage and never displayed again after you save them. That said, the honest general answer is: give any third party the narrowest key you can, and keep the ability to revoke it. Where a vendor supports scoped or restricted keys, use one limited to the models Landio actually calls, and rotate it from the vendor's console if you ever stop using us.
This walkthrough was last checked against the provider's live console on . Providers redesign their dashboards without notice — if what you see doesn't match, the button names have probably moved rather than the process changing.
