Getting Your API Keys
How to get a Tavus API key
Trained video clones from about two minutes of footage, for the most lifelike results.
What a Tavus key powers in Landio
Tavus trains a model of your face from a recording, then makes new videos of you speaking any voiceover. Training takes a while after upload; the clone shows as ready when it's done.
Creating the key
Keys are created in the Tavus developer portal.
Sign in at platform.tavus.io.
Open API Keys and create a new key.
Copy the key.
Adding the key to Landio
Open AI Providers from the sidebar, find Tavus in the vendor list, paste the key, and save. Clone Studio can then train video clones.
Keys are encrypted at rest and write-only — after saving, the page only tells you that a key exists, never what it is, so keep the copy you saved at the vendor.
There's no included allowance for Tavus: everything it makes is billed by Tavus to your account at their rates. Check their pricing page for what a minute of output costs before running it at volume.
Recording the training video
Record one continuous take of at least two minutes: facing the camera, good even light, speaking naturally and pausing now and then with your mouth closed. Any cut or join shows up in the clone.
Tavus may ask for a spoken consent statement at the start of the recording — check their current recording guidelines before you film.
Only clone a voice or face you have the right to use — your own, or someone who has given you written permission for this exact use. Keep that permission on file. Cloning someone without consent can break the vendor's terms and the law where you or they live.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to paste an API key into a third-party app?
Keys are encrypted before storage and never displayed again after you save them. That said, the honest general answer is: give any third party the narrowest key you can, and keep the ability to revoke it. Where a vendor supports scoped or restricted keys, use one limited to the models Landio actually calls, and rotate it from the vendor's console if you ever stop using us.
This walkthrough was last checked against the provider's live console on . Providers redesign their dashboards without notice — if what you see doesn't match, the button names have probably moved rather than the process changing.
