Getting Your API Keys

How to get a Higgsfield API key

Generate a key pair in Higgsfield Cloud for video and talking-avatar generation — and the KEY_ID:KEY_SECRET format we need.

What a Higgsfield key powers in Landio

Higgsfield drives video generation and talking-avatar video — the AI-presenter clips where a generated face delivers a script. If you're using the AI influencer features, this is the vendor behind them.

The format we need

Higgsfield is the one vendor here that issues a key pair rather than a single string: a key ID and a key secret.

Paste them into Landio joined by a colon, as KEY_ID:KEY_SECRET — one field, both halves, no spaces. Pasting only the ID, or only the secret, produces an authentication error that looks like a bad key rather than a formatting problem.

Creating the key

Keys are issued from the Higgsfield Cloud dashboard.

  1. Go to cloud.higgsfield.ai and sign in or create an account.

  2. Open the API keys section of the dashboard.

  3. Generate a new key. You'll be given both a key ID and a key secret.

  4. Copy both halves. The secret is shown once — if you lose it, the ID alone is useless and you'll need to generate a fresh pair.

  5. Join them with a colon to get the single value to paste: your key ID, a colon, then the secret.

Adding the key to Landio

Open AI Providers from the sidebar, find Higgsfield in the vendor list, paste the key, and save. Higgsfield then becomes selectable for video generation and powers talking-avatar clips.

Keys are encrypted at rest and write-only — after saving, the page only tells you that a key exists, never what it is. That also means there's no way to read a key back out of us later, so keep the copy you saved at the vendor.

Adding a key doesn't unlock a feature; it changes who bills you for it. Every plan already includes an AI allowance, so drafting works before you do any of this. With your own key, that usage bills from Higgsfield at their rates instead of counting against the allowance.

You can add more than one key per vendor. Landio will either spread calls across them or treat the extras as failover spares, depending on how you configure that vendor — useful when one key is a paid account and the rest are backups.

If something goes wrong

An authentication error is almost always the format. Check you pasted both halves with a colon between them and no surrounding whitespace.

If you have the ID but lost the secret, generate a new pair — there's no way to recover a secret after it's shown.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Higgsfield need two values when other vendors need one?

It authenticates with an ID and secret pair rather than a single bearer token — a common pattern, just less common among AI vendors. We take them as one field joined by a colon so there's only one thing to store.

What are talking-avatar videos used for?

Short presenter-style clips where a generated face delivers a script you wrote — a recurring format on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts for founders who don't want to be on camera weekly. Whether it suits your brand is an editorial call worth making deliberately, and some audiences react badly to it when it isn't disclosed.

Can I recover a lost secret later?

No. Generate a new pair, update it here, and revoke the old one.

Is it safe to paste an API key into a third-party app?

Keys are encrypted before storage and never displayed again after you save them. That said, the honest general answer is: give any third party the narrowest key you can, and keep the ability to revoke it. Where a vendor supports scoped or restricted keys, use one limited to the models Landio actually calls, and rotate it from the vendor's console if you ever stop using us.
