Getting Your API Keys

How to get a HeyGen API key

Long talking videos — up to two minutes — from a single photo or an influencer's portrait, with HeyGen's avatar engine.

What a HeyGen key powers in Landio

HeyGen turns a photo plus a voiceover into a talking video, for videos longer than Higgsfield's 15 seconds — up to two minutes here.

Creating the key

HeyGen's API key lives in your account settings.

  1. Sign in at app.heygen.com.

  2. Open Settings, then the API section.

  3. Copy your API key (API usage is billed from your HeyGen API credits).

Adding the key to Landio

Open AI Providers from the sidebar, find HeyGen in the vendor list, paste the key, and save. HeyGen then appears as an engine in the talking-avatar dialog.

Keys are encrypted at rest and write-only — after saving, the page only tells you that a key exists, never what it is, so keep the copy you saved at the vendor.

There's no included allowance for HeyGen: everything it makes is billed by HeyGen to your account at their rates. Check their pricing page for what a minute of output costs before running it at volume.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to paste an API key into a third-party app?

Keys are encrypted before storage and never displayed again after you save them. That said, the honest general answer is: give any third party the narrowest key you can, and keep the ability to revoke it. Where a vendor supports scoped or restricted keys, use one limited to the models Landio actually calls, and rotate it from the vendor's console if you ever stop using us.
