Setting up Autopilot

Autopilot picks a trending item once a day from a source you choose and turns it into a finished post: it reads the linked article, has an AI editor write a creative brief (why it matters to your audience, your angle, hooks and a visual concept), writes copy tailored to each platform, generates an image, video or carousel, and publishes it — the one feature in Landio that can run with no human review, by design.

Rules support the same formats as Create — posts, carousels, reels, stories and videos — with an AI image, an AI video, a multi-slide carousel, or text only. Videos render in the background; the post publishes as soon as the video is ready. The rule page warns you before saving if a platform can't take the format you picked, such as a text-only post to Instagram.

On a saved rule, “Create a test draft” builds one post exactly as a real run would and saves it as a draft, without publishing or using up the item. Set a rule to “Save as draft for review” to keep a person in the loop permanently: Autopilot prepares every post and notifies you to publish it.

GitHub Trending needs no key. News uses NewsAPI — add your own key on the AI Providers page. An RSS/Atom feed needs only the feed URL, no key at all.

Set how many posts per day (1-5) and which days of the week it's allowed to run. If a run fails three times in a row, the rule pauses itself automatically and notifies you.

A first rule on one account, one topic and a modest cadence tells you how the output reads in practice. Rules are easy to widen once you trust them and awkward to unwind after they've published a fortnight of posts you didn't read.

In “Publish automatically” mode that's the point of it, and it's also the thing to be deliberate about. If you want a person in the loop, set the rule to “Save as draft for review” instead.

When a rule fails repeatedly — most often an expired account connection — it pauses and notifies you rather than continuing to fail on schedule. Resolve the cause, then resume it.

Unattended doesn't mean unchecked. Skimming the last week's automated posts occasionally is what catches a rule that has drifted off-topic, and it takes a couple of minutes.
